The body is always communicating with us, and serves as a powerful indicator of limitations, boundaries, and signals.
NOW ACCEPTING PRIVATE CLIENTS FOR BODY SPEAK
Body Speak sessions are unique and personalized to the clients needs. Each session may integrate some of the following elements: somatic regulation, breath work, dance therapy, contact dance, holistic medicine, and more. These modalities offer a diverse range of approaches to support you in understanding and nurturing the journey with your body, ultimately promoting enhanced emotional and physical wellbeing.
Dance Therapy is a type of psychotherapy that uses movement and dance to promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration. The practice is based on the belief that the body and mind are interconnected, and that by engaging in physical movement, individuals can explore and address their emotions, trauma, and tensions in ways that may not be accessible through traditional talk therapy.
Contact Dance is a form of dance that explores the relationship between two or more moving bodies through touch, weight-sharing, and physical dialogue. Contact dance uses elements from Contact Beyond Contact, Contact Improvisation, and Embodied Movement. This art form emphasizes mutual attentiveness, trust, responsiveness, consent, and fosters deep connection, presence, and awareness.
Somatic Regulation & Meditation is the practice of regulating one's own body and mind through awareness of physical sensations, movement, and breath. It involves paying attention to the sensations in the body to promote relaxation, grounding, and present-moment awareness. By tuning into the body's signals and learning to regulate physical responses, individuals can cultivate a sense of calm and inner peace. Somatic practices can also help in developing a better understanding of one's emotions and thoughts by exploring how they manifest in the body.
Holistic Medicines are natural remedies derived from plants that are used to promote physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being allowing us to tap into the healing power of nature, connect with our inner wisdom, and cultivate a deeper sense of wholeness and connection to the world around us.
